Nutella and Oat Biscuits

These biscuits are crunchy with a nutty texture of oats and nuts.  The nutella compliments very well with the oats and nuts. This is such a quick and easy recipe that you can whip up a batch of biscuits in no time!

2/3 cup sunflower oil
1/2 cup nutella
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1  1/4 cups plain flour
3 cups rolled oats
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/3 cup walnuts or pecan nuts, chopped
1 packet (200g) choc bits or choc chunks

Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius.  Line a baking tray with baking paper.

In a medium mixing bowl, mix the oil, nutella, eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.

In a large mixing bowl, add the flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, walnuts or pecans and choc bits.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.  Mix well with a spoon.  Place tablespoons of mixture onto the prepared baking tray.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, leave to cool on trays for five minutes before removing them onto a cooling rack to completely cool.

Enjoy!
