This is a moist and fudgy chocolate slice that proved to be very popular with my work colleagues. What is best about this recipe, is that it is so easy and quick to make. It is basically throw all ingredients into a bowl to mix and then into a slice tin to bake…
395 can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup (25g) cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups (225g) self-raising flour
1/2 cup (50g) hazelnut meal
1/2 cup (110g) brown sugar
1/2 cup (40g) desiccated coconut
125g unsalted butter, melted
100g white or milk choc bits or half and half
Preheat oven to 180°c. Line a 18cm x 28cm slice tin with baking paper.
Combine sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, flour, brown sugar, hazelnut, coconut and butter in a mixing bowl; mix well.
Spoon the chocolate mixture into prepared slice tin. Scatter and lightly press the choc bits on top.
Bake the slice for 20 to 25 minutes, or until test with a skewer inserted in the middle which comes out clean. Allow the slice to cool in the tin before removing it to cut into squares or fingers.
